Short explanation of system:
This system consists of three main components, the power supply, the LED box that controls the LEDs and the LED strip itself. The setup of the system is pretty easy, first you will need to install the LED strips, you do this by cutting the LED strip in four pieces 2 long and 2 short make sure that the two long peaces have the same amount of LEDs and that the short peaces have the same amount of LEDs. After that, you will need to set up the software, what I will show in an installation guide video below. The Ambibox gets its power from a power adapter and the data from a USB cable.
Support for games, videos and desktop:
In the last few years, the software has greatly improved. With the Ambibox software you can use the ambilight in nearly every application unlike a few years ago where software needed to support ambilight, this is because of the way ambilight is handled these days it will capture your screen en decide which color to display this is the reason nearly everything is supported as far as I know if there are any applications where ambilight is not supported I would like to hear it. Quality of product:
Positive:
1. The software is getting updated
2. There are a lot of options and customizable settings in the software
3. a lot of zones
4. easy to get for different sized monitors
5. one of the cheapest not DIY solutions
Negative:
1. It's not very easy to install
2. It's not of a big company, so it relies more on the community to develop software
